Bluff State School teaches and assesses students using the Australian Curriculum. We do this through the Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C) units provided by Education Queensland, including the newly released P-6 Small School Curriculum Framework for Maths and English. Teachers work to align teaching and assessment to support all learners in the multi-age classroom.
In 2019, Bluff Sate School is implementing a number of learning areas to prepare for the 2020 full implementation of all Australian Curriculum learning areas. This includes the new Languages curriculum, with all students from Prep up learning Japanese as a Language Other Than English (LOTE) subject. This is done in collaboration with the Capricornia School of Distance Education (CSDE).
To assist students to prepare for the future, Bluff State School is also developing student STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) skills, through the introduction of coding, robotics and hands-on STEAM activities.
